Butterfly

Photobucket

This song is so awesome and sexy. and of course!!! DIRTY. As it was the first time I'd heard it, I was a little taken aback by the lyrics. This song is far from subtle but the imagery and references are what that is delightful. You get great imagery from them, like here: "curl your upper lip up and let me look around ride your tongue along your bottom lip and bite down"

I am a big fan of Jason Mraz for years. I love his music and this song is no exception. I find a reoccurring theme in his song. He really seems to worships the woman he dates. In this song he can "see her perfectly behind close eyes" and he "can't recall a better day" Too adorable!!! I just can't listen to this without smiling.

She makes him happy--even her calling him and leaving a message saying his name makes him happy! How sweet is that? :D

My favorite lines are "You know that fortune favors the brave well let me get paid while I make you breakfast the rest is up to you who makes the call"--I have a big smile every time I hear this line. I'm constantly blasting this song in the car---SO great!

Besides, i think "butterfly" is the most original and refreshing euphemism I've ever heard.

I like the direction Jason's going in. Eh. No pun intended here. I meant the direction he's taking his sound into, not his xxxxx. This man is so incredibly talented. Congrats to him on the fact that everything's working.

Pervy, but delicious. These are my last words. Every now and then,it's just the thing, you know?

Here's the lyric:

I’m taking a moment just imagining’ that I’m dancing’ with you
I’m your pole and all you’re wearing is your shoes
You got soul, you know what to do to turn me on
until I write a song about you
And you have your own engaging style
And you’ve got the knack to vivify
And you make my slacks a little tight,
you may unfasten them if you like
That’s if you crash and spend the night

But you don’t fold, you don’t fade
You’ve got everything you need, especially me
Sister you’ve got it all
You make the call to make my day
In your message say my name
Your talk is all the talk, sister you’ve got it all

Curl your upper lip up and let me look around
Ride your tongue along your bottom lip and bite down
And bend your back and ask those hips if I can touch
Because they’re the perfect jumping off point of getting closer to your butterfly

Well you float on by
Oh kiss me with your eyelashes tonight
Or Eskimo your nose real close to mine
And let’s mood the lights and finally make it right
But you don’t fold, you don’t fade,
you’ve got everything you need especially me
Sister you’ve got it all

You make the call to make my day
In you message say my name
Your talk is all the talk sister you’ve got it all

You’ve got it all, you’ve got it all

Doll I need to see you pull your knee socks up
Let me feel you up side, down slide, in slide, out slide, over here
Climb in my mouth now child

Butterfly, well you landed on my mind
Dammit you landed on my ear and then you crawled inside
Now I see you perfectly behind closed eyes
I wanna fly with you and I don’t wanna lie to you
Cause I, cause I can’t recall a better days
I’m coming to shine on the occasion
You’re an open minded lady
You’ve got it all
And I never forget a face
If I’m making my own
I have my days
Let’s face the fact here, it’s you who's got it all

You know that fortune favors the brave
Well let me get paid while I make you breakfast
The rest is up to you, you make the call

You make the call to make my day
In your message say my name
Your talk is all the talk, sister you’ve got it all

I can’t recall a better day
I’m coming to shine on the occasion
You’re a sophisticated lady, oh you’ve got it all

I'm Your Man

The time of waiting is becoming to an end. My man just releases his new album "Crazy Love". I'm talking about "Michael Bublé". He's my man since the very first day I went to his gig years ago in Bangkok. I couldn't get enough of his as a little girl..I was in love:) and to this day he makes my heart melt!

I bought his DVD Michael Bublé Meets Madison Square Garden for weeks but I just had a chance sitting down watching it yesterday. And he made my Sunday so bright while it's heavy rain outside.

I made myself comfortable and ready to be entertained with a cup of green tea and a nice warm blanket. The first song he chose for me is "I'm Your Man". And that's it. I fall in love with him again.

Here's "I'm Your Man" though it's not MSG version but do hope you enjoy.

Happy Monday!

I'd Rather Dance with You

Have you ever feel like you have nothing to say when you're sitting in the club with someone you like? Here's the song for you.

Id Rather Dance With You - Kings Of Convenience

"Even if I could hear what you said I doubt my reply would be interesting for you to hear. Because I haven't read a single book all year and the only film I saw I didn't like it at all."

I'd rather dance than talk with you

Photobucket

Nice tune of an indie folk-pop duo from Norway; Kings of Convenience. Check out their other tracks if you can. I recommend Mrs. Cold. The music is just awesome with lively sound of acoustic guitar. You can't miss out.

I Can Make You Feel Good

If you were born in 1980s I'm pretty sure you heard of this guy "Kavana". He's one of my favourite 90s pop star. ;)

Last time I went back to my parents' house and digged my bedroom for hours looking for Kavana's cassette tape I bought more than 10 years ago though we didn't have any cassette player in the house for years. Anyway, it would give me a piece of mind to see my old premise. I couldn't find it.

Yesterday I saw "Special Kind Of Something - The Best Of Kavana" released in 2007 on sale with half price discount at B2S. And it's in CD format. Without hesitation, I dashed back to my place to listen to his beautiful voice.

Kavana's so down to earth that he doesn't realize how good looking he is. He's so cute on stage. And I always love his dreamy eyes. I wondered how he is lately.

Found his performance back in 2007 on youtube and wanna share it with you guys. All I can say is "He's super duper cuteeeeeee, as he always is" though he's lip-singing and I think he looks gay here. Is he?

Lovelight

I always have iPod connected with the car radio. Randomly, the gadget brought up "Robbie Williams's Lovelight"

Lovelight - Robbie Williams

Mr. Robbie released his new album early this year called "Close My Eyes" with the first single with the same name. Not so popular. I haven't heard of it 'til I checked out his news in Wikipedia.

Lovelight makes me think of my crazy nights in Italy during winter 2006. This song was very popular across Italy at that time. It got peak position at number 4 in the chart. Every club in Perugia played the song every night. Yeah I can assume "every night" as I went to "discoteca" 5 days a week back then. (Don't ask me why, ok?)

If you've been to small town in Italy (and also in France and Spain) I'm sure you were shocked with the dungeon club in the center of the town which is totally different from clubs and discotheques we have at home. The clubs are so small and built over the dungeon. Sounds scary huh? But I had so much fun dancing all night with friends and new friends from all over the world whom coming to Perugia to experience for once in their life "La Dolce Vita".

JK Wedding Dance (Forever)

I watched news the other night and there's a clip video aired at the end of the news as credit background. It's a wedding entrance video which is kinda cool instead of touching. I don't know anything about the wedding and decided to search for it on YouTube. And here it is.

Until this very minute, since the video has posted in July 19, there're 17,062,288 views for this video. Is that cool??? Yeah definitely!

The music is Forever by Chris Brown. I like the track personally and even more after watching this video. It's just the right song for the job. "Its like I've waited my whole life for this one night. It's gonna be me, you and the dance floor."

Last night with new soul tune

After two hectic weeks, I'm so relaxed for the first time. Yesterday I just finished my Hospitality Marketing course conducted by master of master Prof. Kaye Chon. I like the course but it's just relieved to be done with it. ;)

First night in two weeks that I thought 'gesssss i got nothing to do!' So I turned on the tv set and kept changing the channel through all 90 channels. That's how I found "Take It Slow" on MNET.

The music video's just plain, nothing interesting, but it's the tune that captured me. See it down here. Auriol Hays from South Africa.

Hed Kandi came to Phuket for the very first time!!!

Hed Kandi

I assume that you all know Hed Kandi, right? They claimed they are "the world's most glamorous music and lifestyle brand." Anyway, it's label from UK producing great house music. One of my favorites aside from Om Records I've blogged about previously. Don't know if they have any other products under the name.

And last night Hed Kandi World Series Tour rocked Phuket island at StereoLab on Surin beach. The venue is cool but nothing compare to the music.

I thought the day before "Which track of Hed Kandi is my favorite?" when I was driving back home from work And I didn't really know. So I was home early that I should just to check all Hed Kandi cds in my possession (and also my boyfriend's) and I found it in Hed Kandi - World Series Live Paris Disc 1.

Here's my favorite Hed Kandi's track way back in 2001: Fade by Solu Music feat. KimBlee. Actually, Solu is another house music label from New York and it's happened to be this track that brought them up to World's house music avenue. And it's perfect summer house, I can tell you.

I like this version mixed by Eric Kupper more. (Not sure if it's in Hed Kandi) The original one is good as well.

In Memory of MJ Michael Jackson King of Pop

Across the globe, Michael Jackson fans are sharing their feelings on losing the King of Pop. People is shocked and saddened, even here in Thailand. I'm not his big fan but Come on it's Michael Jackson.

He's big star in our era. If you were born in 1980's like me, I'm sure you know couple songs; Thriller, Bad, Smooth Criminal, Black or White. Remembered many years ago, he played in Bangkok and the concert was talk of the town at that time and that's how we knew his 'moonwalk'.

This guy is legend. His works have influenced Mariah Carey, Usher, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and R. Kelly.

Here's my favourite "You Rock My World" from Invincible.

Rest In Peace, MJ

Colette - Didn't Mean to Turn You On

Colette reply my tweet this morning after she had fun with her first play in Bandung.

DJColette@*** I would love to come back to Bangkok. I was there for 7 hrs on a layover, but that doesn't really count. ;)

I do hope she can make it to Bangkok or even my city Phuket real soon. To get her here, I'm trying to persuade all friends to have a listen to her music and of course you here should listen to hers too.

DJ. Colette has covered a legendary "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On", originally performed by R&B singer Cherrelle recently. The song was also covered in 2001 by Mariah Carey for her movie Glitter. That version means nothing to me.

colette - dmttyo

You can find other version of Colette's Didn't Mean to Turn You On in Om Records' album; Om Summer Session, Om Miami 2006 and I-Om Mix Series House of Om Vol. 1.

In this post, bringing you a nice version of Chuck Love Vocal Mix. Enjoy!

'N Sync - Do Your Thing

I just heard Ciara's new single the other day. 'Love Sex Magic' is the collaboration between Ciara and Mr. JT Justin Timberlake. The music is SO Justin. I know from the very first few seconds that it's gonna be another hit.

I think Justin is really good in what he's doing. His latest album as a solo artist 'FutureSex/LoveSound's proves it all. I have checked his discography from Wikipedia whether as vocalist, songwriter and producer. This guy is just rock!

Photobucket

Even though his solo career establishes him outside the realm of his then-former band 'N Sync, I think some tracks in 'N Sync's Celebrity show us where his music style comes from. My A-list track in the album is 'Do Your Thing' The song written by James Moss, is not even a single, but I just like the sound in it.

There ain't no excuse for losing your feet drowning in your defeat, on this road of life. There ain't no excuse for coming up short. The ball is in your court. So reach up and touch the sky.

Colette - If

I ran into the girl 'Colette' more than 6 months ago while surfing around Samantha James's Myspace. No regret checked out her Myspace and also her own website back in the day. Now she's one of my favourite house DJs.

"With her disarming doe eyes and a heartwarming demeanor, Colette possesses the unmistakable voice of post-millennial house music"

Colette

You would say "If" is quite outdated to mention of on May 2009 as the single was released for more than a year ago. (I don't think any music would be outdated though) But the single is awesome, at least that's what I think. So what's wrong posting it here.

For all of us Asian who not familiar with house music, it might be a good start to try the genre with Colette's album "Push". Good news is she's coming to our region very soon.
